Understanding the age groups for participation is crucial for parents and guardians considering enrolling their children in our programs. Here’s everything you need to know about the age eligibility criteria for our cheer and football teams.

Football

Our football program is organized into various age groups to ensure a safe and competitive environment for all participants. The age determination date for football is July 31st. Here’s a breakdown of our age groups:

 

  • Mighty Mites: Ages 4, 5, and 6. Four-year-olds may participate at the park’s discretion, with a maximum of five 4-year-olds allowed per team.
  • Pee Wee: Ages 7 and 8, where fundamentals and teamwork are the focus.
  • Midget: Ages 9 and 10, introducing more complex plays and strategies.
  • Junior Varsity (JV): Ages 11 and 12, preparing athletes for higher competition levels.
  • Varsity: Ages 13 and 14, showcasing advanced skills and teamwork at the highest youth level.

Cheer

Our cheer teams are synchronized with our football program to enhance the spirit and excitement of each game. The age determination date for cheer is August 31st. Our cheer age groups align with the football divisions to foster unity and team spirit across all activities:

  • Mighty Mites: Ages 5 and 6, with 4-year-olds allowed at the league’s discretion.
  • Pee Wees: Ages 7 and 8, focusing on foundational cheer skills and routines.
  • Midgets: Ages 9 and 10, where cheerleaders start to engage in more complex routines.
  • Junior Varsity (JV): Ages 11 and 12, perfecting their routines and teamwork.
  • Varsity: Ages 13 and 14, representing our organization at the highest level with advanced routines and cheer techniques.
